I have always been passionate about using a strength-based, solution-focused approach to therapy, believing that families possess the inherent ability to overcome obstacles and hardships. I prefer to focus on solutions rather than dwelling on problems, aiming to empower individuals and families to grow and thrive. I have a Master’s degree in counseling, nine years of experience working for Family Behavioral Health: Tukwila/Burien, and almost 20 years’ experience of working in the helping profession. Throughout my career, I have held various roles, including youth coach, working with at risk youth in a group home setting; independent living coordinator for a seven-county region in the Midwest; academic counselor for the TRIo program at the University of Mary; and group facilitator for Violence Free, a court ordered group for domestic violence offenders.
